Basketettan top team - Malbas (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Eskilstuna (3-4) in Malmo 103-62. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Eskilstuna to just 7 points in third quarter. Malbas forced 26 Eskilstuna turnovers and outrebounded them 41-24 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) nailed 25 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and power forward Alexander Nilsson (209-90) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Malbas players scored in double figures. Malbas' coach Henrik Svensson felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Spanish center Luis Antonio Garcia Morato (201-90) came up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and forward Daniel Urban (198-88) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Eskilstuna in the defeat.
