There was a minor upset when higher ranked Apollon Patras (3-3) was edged at home by ninth ranked Aris (3-3) 78-76 on Monday. Apollon Patras trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-78 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Cypriot-Bulgarian Aleksandar Vezenkov (203-95, college: Xavier) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots).
