Regular Season Round 6: Hapoel Migd.H. - Ironi Ramat Gan 81-87

There was an upset in Tarshicha where higher ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (3-3) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (2-4) 87-81 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 29-22. But Hapoel Migd.H. won second period 17-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ironi Ramat Gan dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Migd.H.'s 32. Ironi Ramat Gan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Mark Tyndale (196-86, college: Temple) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Inan Iram (194-88, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican forward Gilberto Clavell (200-89, college: Sam Houston St., agency: KMG Sports Management) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Liran Moran (192-90) scored 17 points. Ironi Ramat Gan moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Elizur Ashkelon and Ironi K-A. Newly promoted Hapoel Migd.H. dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will face Ironi Kiryat Ata (#12) at home in the next round. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Beer Yaakov (#9) and hope to win that game.
