The game had a very big importance for second-ranked MH Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Sport Club) loss. MH Basket defeated one of their biggest challengers San Lorenzo Ch. in Monte Hermoso 90-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Lorenzo Ch.. The game was mostly controlled by MH Basket. San Lorenzo Ch. was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panamanian center Jamaal Levy (206-83, college: Wake Forest) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Naturalized Italian point guard Mariano Castets (183-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists for the winners. American guard Rasheem Barrett (196-87, college: Auburn) replied with 24 points and center Leonardo Peralta (204-85) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for San Lorenzo Ch.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Lorenzo Ch.'s coach Alejandro Pepiche rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they took over a top position. San Lorenzo Ch. at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. San Lorenzo Ch. will play next round against Alianza Viedma trying to get back on the winning streak. MH Basket will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Huracan at Trelew.
