Regular Season Round 14: Souffel - Boulazac 73-64

There was a minor upset in Souffel. where 13th ranked Boulazac Basket (5-8) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Souffelweyersheim (6-8) 73-64 on Friday. The game without a history. Souffelweyersheim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (203-88) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. American power forward David Monds (205-83, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 18 points and naturalized Swiss power forward David Ramseier (202-87) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Boulazac Basket's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Souffelweyersheim moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Hyeres-Toulon and Poitiers. Loser Boulazac Basket dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Souffelweyersheim will face higher ranked Nantes (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boulazac Basket will play against Denain Voltaire (#8) and hope to win that game.
