There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Lille Metropole (4-10) edged at home higher ranked Fos Ouest (8-6) 75-73 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-73. Cape Verdean-Portuguese forward Ivan Almeida (197-89, college: Stonehill) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee, agency: Allegiant Athletic Agency) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. point guard Edouard Choquet (188-88) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Moroccan-Canadian Mohamed Hachad (194-83, college: Northwestern) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds.
