There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Ikaros (2-5) lost to thirteenth ranked Nea Kifisia (2-5) in Athens 66-75 on Saturday. Ikaros trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 14-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-75 at the end of the game. Ikaros was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American swingman Tony Crocker (201-87, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. The former international forward Nikos Barlos (203-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Nea Kifisia's coach Ilias Papatheodorou used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (200-90, college: Murray St.) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Dominique Sutton (195-86, college: N.C.Central) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ikaros.
