Very important is a road loss of second ranked Regal FC Barcelona (5-2) against seventeenth ranked Blusens Monbus (2-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Regal FC Barcelona was defeated by Blusens Monbus in Santoago de Comp 77-60. Regal FC Barcelona was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Blusens Monbus dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Regal FC Barcelona's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Oriol Junyent (208-76) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 8 rebounds. International forward Alberto Corbacho (201-84) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Blusens Monbus players scored in double figures. Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83) answered with 11 points and Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 3 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Regal FC Barcelona. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blusens Monbus moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Fuenlabrada. Regal FC Barcelona at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Unicaja and G.Canaria 2014. Blusens Monbus will play against higher ranked Gipuzkoa (#10) in San Sebastian in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Regal FC Barcelona will play at home against CAI Zaragoza (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
