Very important is a road loss of third ranked PAOK (5-2) against fourteenth ranked Aiolos Trikallon (2-5) on Saturday night. Visiting PAOK was defeated by Aiolos Trikallon in Trikallon 87-76. The game was mostly controlled by Aiolos Trikallon. PAOK was better in fourth quarter 31-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aiolos Trikallon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to PAOK's 32. They outrebounded PAOK 40-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American-Jamaican power forward Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-84, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Chris Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Evaggelis Margaritis (200-82) responded with 17 points and point guard Kostas Haralampidis (189-76) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. PAOK at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Panionios. Aiolos Trikallon will play against higher ranked AGOR (#5) in Rethymno in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PAOK will play at home against KAOD and hopes to get back on the winning track.
