Regular Season Round 11: Wisla Krakow - Gorzow 110-75

BLK top team - Wisla Krakow (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (4-7) 110-75. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's 32. They outrebounded AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski 40-20 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Wisla Krakow especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's players. Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 assists. American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. American Taber Spani (182-91, college: Tennessee) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Chineze Nwagbo (183-82, college: Syracuse) added 21 points in the effort for AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Krakow have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Wisla Krakow are looking forward to face Basket ROW (#6) in Rybnik in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play on the road against Widzew in Lodz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
