The most exciting game of round 18 in the Basketettan took place in Uppsala. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Polisen (6-2) to eighth ranked KFUM Uppsala (4-4) 83-81 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Polisen. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But Polisen won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Uppsala shot 25 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Polisen only scored seven points from the stripe. 26 personal fouls committed by Polisen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Tobias Skyttevall (193-95) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Joel Porscke (191-91) who recorded 26 points and guard Emil Gullbrandsson (189-92) added 17 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KFUM Uppsala moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Helsingborg. Newly promoted Polisen keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with 08. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
