The game in Reykjavik was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Haukar (7-4) played at the court of 7th ranked KR (3-8). Haukar defeated KR 82-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KR. The game without a history. Haukar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by KR's players. Haukar brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Gunnhildur Gunnarsdottir (175-90) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. American swingman Ebone Henry (178-91, college: Albany) came up with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and Berghora Tomasdottir (177-94) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KR in the defeat. KR's coach Yngvi Gunnlaugsson rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haukar have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-4 record having just two points less than leader Keflavik. KR at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Haukar will play against Valur (#5) in Reykjavik in the next round. KR will play on the road against the league's second-placed Snaefell in Stykkisholmur and hopes to get back on the winning track.
