Everything could happen in Doha at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Al Gharafa and 6th ranked Al Khor had identical 5-3 record. This time Al Gharafa used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Al Khor 81-69. Al Gharafa forced 22 Al Khor turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty, agency: Norton Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws). Nigerian forward Manny Adako (203-87, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Senegalese forward Moustapha Niang (206-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Tunisian center Mokhtar Ghayaza (204-86) added 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Al Khor. Four Al Khor players scored in double figures. Al Gharafa (6-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Arabi. Newly promoted Al Khor dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
