Seventh ranked Hapoel Holon (4-3) crushed at home 11th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (2-6) by 19 points 78-59, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists and guard Shlomi Harush (185-87) who added 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Hapoel Holon's coach Lior Lubin used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Xavier Silas (196-88, college: N.Illinois) responded with 17 points and his fellow American import Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hapoel Holon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Netanya. Loser Maccabi Ashdod dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Hapoel Holon will face Bnei Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon in the next round. Maccabi Ashdod will play at home against the league's second-placed Ironi Nes-Ziona and hope to win that game.
