There was no surprise when 9th ranked Saint Vallier (7-8) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Le Portel (9-6) 89-82. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 27-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. Le Portel players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Wendell McKines (198-88, college: N.Mexico St.) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side.
