Regular Season Round 10: Rotterdam - Den Bosch 52-74

Date: November 28, 2013
Rather expected game when 7th ranked Rotterdam (5-7) was rolled over at home by fifth ranked Den Bosch (8-4) 74-52 on Thursday. Den Bosch dominated on the defensive end, holding Rotterdam to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Rotterdam 34-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. Den Bosch looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Rotterdam's players. American forward Tai Wesley (200-86, college: Utah St.) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international center Marcel Aarts (213-83, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Matthew Otten (196-81, college: San Francisco St., agency: R.H.Consultancy) produced 24 points and American guard La'Shard Anderson (185-89, college: Boise St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Den Bosch moved-up to third place, which they share with Leiden and M.Magixx. Loser Rotterdam keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Den Bosch will have a break next round. Rotterdam will play at home against Leeuwarden (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
