Date: November 28, 2013
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars' (8-8) road loss to fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (8-8) 75-96 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Shiga L-Stars was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Shiga L-Stars turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Fukuoka Rizing especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Shelton Colwell (202-80, college: Missouri St.) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 8-8 record, which they share with defeated Shiga L-Stars. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
