Regular Season Round 19: Soles - Gansos 93-50

LNBP top team - Soles (13-3) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Gansos (0-18) in Mexicali 93-50. The game without a history. Soles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Soles outrebounded Gansos 55-26 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Gansos' players. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Soles players scored in double figures. American CamRon Clay (203-82) answered with 7 points and 11 rebounds and international Oscar Perez (205-85) added 13 points in the effort for Gansos. Gansos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Soles maintains first place with 13-3 record. Gansos at the other side still closes the standings. Soles are looking forward to face Angeles (#11) in Acapulco in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gansos will play on the road against the league's second-placed Pioneros in Cancun and hope to get finally their first victory.
