The game in Hasharon was also quite interesting. 4th ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (3-3) played at the court of fifth ranked Ramat Hasharon (3-2). Ramat Hasharon managed to secure a 9-point victory 82-73 on Thursday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Ramat Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Maccabi Ramat Hen's players. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Swingman Megan Frazee (193-87, college: Liberty) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Karima Christmas (182-89, college: Duke) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Toni Young (188-91, college: Oklahoma St.) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Five Ramat Hasharon and four Maccabi Ramat Hen players scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur Holon. Loser Maccabi Ramat Hen dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Ramat Hasharon will meet Elitzur Holon (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Maccabi Ramat Hen will play against Elitzur Netanya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
