Hap.Petah Tikva has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bnot Hertzeliya (2-3) 80-73. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Management Group) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) supported her with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Hap.Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) did not help to save the game for Bnot Hertzeliya. Forward Jessica Breland (190-88, college: N.Carolina) added 21 points and 9 rebounds. Hap.Petah Tikva maintains ninth position with 1-5 record. Newly promoted Bnot Hertzeliya keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Elitzur Netanya. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against higher ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
