Regular Season Round 15: Solna - Eco Orebro 81-67

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Eco Orebro (1-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Solna Vikings (7-7) 81-67. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Solna Vikings's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-11 extending their advantage to 14 points. 24 personal fouls committed by Eco Orebro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: FCM) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Mats Levin (189-77) accounted for 12 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Five Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. Australian point guard Rhys Carter (190-84) came up with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and American guard Ronnie Boggs (193-91, college: Jacksonville St.) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Eco Orebro in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Solna Vikings. They moved-up to fifth place. Eco Orebro lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Solna Vikings' next round opponent will be KFUM Jamtland (#8) on the road. Eco Orebro will play against Sundsvall Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
