The game in Hangzhou was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Liaoning Hunters (5-3) played at the court of eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (5-3). Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank managed to secure a 6-point victory 110-104 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 31-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Liaoning Hunters turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar.) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The other American import guard Jerel McNeal (191-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 20 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced 49 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the former international center XiaoXu Li (206-90) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Liaoning Hunters. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will meet at home Jilin Tigers (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Liaoning Hunters will play against TianJin Steel (#9) and hope to secure a win.
