Regular Season Round 7: PAOK - Ikaros 42-41

A very interesting game took place in Thessaloniki. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Ikaros (2-5) to ninth ranked PAOK (2-6) 42-41 on Saturday evening. PAOK forced 23 Ikaros turnovers. Swingman Stavroula Spanidou (179-84) fired 9 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dimitra Telidou (170-80) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. Bulgarian center Lydia Milkova (192-70) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Elina Salai added 13 points respectively for lost side. PAOK moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Aris and Anagenisi. Ikaros at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. PAOK's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Proteas in Voula and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
