Regular Season Round 9: Notec - SMS PZKosz 69-70

SMS PZKosz has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Notec (5-4)on the road game in Inowroclaw 70-69 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Notec won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maciej Bojanowski stepped up and scored 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and center Dominik Olejniczak (209-96) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. SMS PZKosz's coach Arkadiusz Miloszewski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Bartosz Pochocki (185-90) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 10 steals and swingman Marcin Kubacki (196-86) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SMS PZKosz maintains eleventh place in Group A with 1-6 record. Loser Notec keeps the fourth position with four games lost. SMS PZKosz will face Korsarz Gdansk (#12) at home in the next round. Notec's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Inowroclaw Notec.
