An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Komarno. Second ranked Nitra faced one of their biggest challengers Rieker KN. Guests from Nitra (11-3) defeated host Rieker KN (9-5) 81-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rieker KN. Rieker KN was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 41-30 second half run of Nitra. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rieker KN to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Elton Frazier (198-88, college: Canisius) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 rebounds. Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (210-82) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Juevol Myles (185-89, college: S.Dakota) replied with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Rieker KN. Five Rieker KN players scored in double figures. Nitra maintains second position with 11-3 record behind leader Inter Bratislava. Rieker KN at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Nitra will play against Prievidza (#4) at home in the next round. Rieker KN will play against Handlova and hopes to get back on the winning track.
