Rather expected game in Kariya where 3rd ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (11-8) were defeated by top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (19-0) 70-61 on Saturday. Aishin Sea Horses dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Mitsubishi Dolphins' 26. International swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Makoto Hiejima (190-90) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Aishin Sea Horses' coach Kimikazu Suzuki used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and the former international power forward Shunsuke Ito (204-79) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-0 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with eight games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face again Mitsubishi Dolphins (#3) in Nagoya in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
