Regular Season Round 9: GKS Tychy - GTK Gliwice 87-77

There was a change at the 2Liga leadership position after last games. Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader GTK Gliwice (8-1). They were defeated by second ranked GKS Tychy (8-1) 87-77 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of GTK Gliwice. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 48-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. GKS Tychy made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Forward Rafal Sebrala (194-87) stepped up and scored 22 points and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Tomasz Wrobel (186-85) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Artur Donigiewicz (190-84) scored 18 points. GKS Tychy keeps a position of Group B leader, which they share with defeated GTK Gliwice. GTK Gliwice will play next round against Mickiewicz trying to make it back to the top of the standings. GKS Tychy will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sudety in Jelenia Gora.
