A very interesting game took place in Rodou. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Nea Kifisia (2-6) to twelfth ranked Kolossos (3-5) 62-59 on Saturday evening. Nea Kifisia was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 36-31 second half run of Kolossos. American center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. Angelos Tsamis (192-81) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Osby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American swingman Tony Crocker (201-87, college: Oklahoma) replied with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure) added 10 points in the effort for Nea Kifisia. Nea Kifisia's coach Ilias Papatheodorou rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kolossos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Nea Kifisia dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Kolossos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Panionios (#3) in Athens and it may be quite challenging game. Nea Kifisia will play at home against PAOK (#4) and hope to win that game.
