Regular Season Round 9: Piaseczno - SKK Siedlce 77-90

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Piaseczno (4-5) was defeated at home by first ranked SKK Siedlce (8-1) 90-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. SKK Siedlce led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. SKK Siedlce outrebounded Piaseczno 45-33 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when SKK Siedlce made 7 blocks. Forward Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Dawid Neumann (181-87) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five SKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Arkadiusz Leczycki (181-83) with 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Sebastian Okola (199-85, college: Mid Plains CC) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Piaseczno's coach Teodor Mollow tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for SKK Siedlce. They maintain first place in Group C with 8-1 record. Loser Piaseczno keeps the seventh position with five games lost. SKK Siedlce will face league's second-placed UMKS Kielce at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Piaseczno will play against Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#8) in Bielsk Podlaski and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
