An interesting game was also a 31-point surprising road defeat of 4th ranked JSA Bordeaux in a game versus La Rochelle (#8) 91-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JSA Bordeaux. The game without a history. La Rochelle led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. La Rochelle forced 22 JSA Bordeaux turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by JSA Bordeaux's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Jarryd Cole (204-88, college: Iowa) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four La Rochelle players scored in double figures. Naturalized Ivorian forward Issife Soumahoro (197-88) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Matthieu Guichard (188-88) added 13 points respectively for JSA Bordeaux in the defeat. La Rochelle (6-4) moved-up to seventh place. Loser JSA Bordeaux dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Charleville. La Rochelle will meet Quimper UJAP (#10) on the road in the next round. JSA Bordeaux will play against Sorgues BC (#11) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
