Regular Season Round 16: Inter Bratislava - Handlova 70-62

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twelfth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Handlova (6-8) 70-62. Inter Bratislava made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Michal Batka (204-87) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Derek Williams (185-85, college: SMU, agency: IBS) who added 12 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91) responded with 21 points and 4 steals and international forward Jozef Vojtek (204-85) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Inter Bratislava have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-3 record. Loser Handlova keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet bottom-ranked Nova Ves (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Handlova will play against Rieker KN and hope to secure a win.
