LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (7-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Cadi ICG S. (3-5) in Seu D'urgell 83-70. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Cadi ICG S. managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Perfumerias Avenida especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The winners were led by Montenegrin-American swingman Eshaya Murphy (181-85, college: USC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and international point guard Marta Xargay Casademont (181-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) supported her with 16 points and 5 assists. Five Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Victor Lapena used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international guard Maria Revuelto (181-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Cadi ICG S.. American center LaNedra Brown (188-81, college: Seton Hall) added 21 points for the hosts. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record. Loser Cadi ICG S. dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Mann Filter and Conquero. Perfumerias Avenida will meet at home bottom-ranked Zamarat (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cadi ICG S. will play against Gran Canaria (#3) and hope to secure a win.
