Regular Season Round 11: CFBB - Montbrison 57-70

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Montbrison (4-7) 70-57. The game was mostly controlled by Montbrison. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montbrison dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 26. Montbrison forced 19 CFBB turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Regis Aubry (199-82) who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. American Keonta Howell (193-85, college: Toledo) chipped in 16 points. Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (198-96) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Ywen Smock (203-96) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montbrison moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Blois. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Montbrison's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Monaco at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against UB Chartres (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
