Regular Season Round 6: Gorizont - BrGU 74-35

Premier League top team - Gorizont (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked BrGU COR Victoria (1-6) in Minsk 74-35. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held BrGU COR Victoria to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont forced 27 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers. International point guard Alexandra Tarasava (170-88) notched 13 points to lead the effort and the former international center Maryna Ivashchanka (190-93) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Gorizont's coach Anatoly Buyalskiy felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by guard Ekaterina Shestilovskaya (180-93) did not help to save the game for BrGU COR Victoria. Guard Yuliya Shcharbakova (173-85) added 9 points and 7 rebounds. Gorizont have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record.
