The game between Top Four teams took place in Kanagawa. First ranked host Toshiba Thunders (18-2) smashed 3rd placed Tochigi Brex (10-10) 86-64. They outrebounded Tochigi Brex 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Naoya Kumagae (194-90) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. They maintain first place with 18-2 record. Tochigi Brex lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Hokkaido L.. Toshiba Thunders will meet Kumamoto V. (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tochigi Brex will play against Hyogo S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
