Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Arabi (#4) and Al Ahli (#8). Al Arabi (6-3) won against visiting Al Ahli (1-8) 102-91. Al Arabi players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Al Ahli's players. American swingman William Byrd (201-85, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Bosnian forward Adnan Hodzic (203-88, college: Lipscomb) chipped in 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Delonte Holland (201-82, college: De Paul) with a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the former international center Hashim Zaidan (211-80) scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Al Arabi moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Gharafa. Al Ahli lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Al Shamal and Qatar.
