Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Upea CdO and 6th ranked Prima Veroli had identical 6-3 record. But Prima Veroli was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Capo d'Orlando 82-74 on Sunday night. Prima Veroli was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great shooting night for Upea CdO especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international swingman Matteo Soragna (198-75) chipped in 14 points. The former international center Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American guard Jamarr Sanders (193-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Upea CdO (7-3) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with C.de Latte BRE and Sigma BRC. Loser Prima Veroli dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Upea CdO will face Pallacanestro Triest (#12) in Trieste in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prima Veroli will play on the road against PMS Torino (#8) and hope to win that game.
