Regular Season Round 18: Osaka Evessa - Shimane SM 68-86

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Osaka Evessa (7-9) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Shimane Magic (3-13) 86-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Osaka Evessa was better in third quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Osaka Evessa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward Adrian Thomas (200-87, college: Miami, FL) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Jeral Davis (216-84) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Zachary Andrews (203-85, college: Bradley) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Shimane Magic maintains tenth position with 3-13 record. Loser Osaka Evessa keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Shimane Magic will face higher ranked Oita Heat Devils (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
