Regular Season Round 12: Wisla Krakow - Basket ROW 76-61

BLK top team - Wisla Krakow (12-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Basket ROW (6-6) 76-61. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Krakow. Basket ROW was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Basket ROW's 34. They outrebounded Basket ROW 51-32 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of Latvian center Zane Teilane-Tamane (200-83, college: W.Illinois, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Justyna Zurowska (188-85) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Rebecca Harris (176-86, college: Illinois) with 26 points and her fellow American import forward Markel Walker (185-90, college: UCLA, agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wisla Krakow have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. Basket ROW at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Wisla Krakow will play against Energa Torun (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Basket ROW will play against Widzew in Lodz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
