No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Al Wakrah (4-5) beat at home 9th ranked Al Shamal (1-8) 89-77. Al Wakrah players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. Rwandan-American guard Kenny Wilson (193-84, college: Boise St.) chipped in 30 points and 5 rebounds. Four Al Wakrah players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Jamaican guard Brian McKenzie (193-88, college: Providence) who recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Tyvon Williams (182-87, college: S.Carolina St.) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Al Wakrah maintains seventh place with 4-5 record. Al Shamal at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost.
