Regular Season Round 5: Shanxi - Yunnan 91-69

Bottom-ranked Qujing Yunnan is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to leader Shanxi Rui Flame (5-0) 91-69. The game was mostly controlled by Shanxi Rui Flame. Qujing Yunnan was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanxi Rui Flame players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Qujing Yunnan's players. The best player for the winners was American Maya Moore (183-89, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Yue Zhang (184) chipped in 12 points. Forward Betty Cao (180-87) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward Yang Jia (191-87) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Shanxi Rui Flame. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Beijing. Qujing Yunnan lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Shanxi Rui Flame's next round opponent will be Shandong (#10) in Jinan and are hoping to win another game. Qujing Yunnan will play at home against Guangdong Dolphins and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
