Regular Season Round 12: Quimper - La Rochelle 79-86

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Quimper UJAP (6-6) was defeated at home by seventh ranked La Rochelle (7-4) 86-79. Quimper UJAP was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 27-16 third quarter run of La Rochelle. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for La Rochelle especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. It was a good game for American forward Jarryd Cole (204-88, college: Iowa) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. British forward Andrew Thomson (205-84, college: Catawba) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Fabien Herard (198-79) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. La Rochelle moved-up to sixth place. Quimper UJAP at the other side keeps the tenth position with six games lost. La Rochelle's next round opponent will be Pontoise (#16) in Cergy and are hoping to win another game. Quimper UJAP will play on the road against Sorgues BC (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
