Regular Season Round 16: LF Basket - Boras 86-93

Basketligan top team - Boras Basket (13-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked LF Basket (6-8) in Lulea 93-86. It looked good early as LF Basket took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boras Basket had a 29-11 second period charge getting the lead and LF Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 86-93. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard James Miller (182-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90) who added 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Keith McLeod (190-79, college: Bowling Green) responded with 25 points and 4 assists and the former international center Johan Akesson (210-84, agency: Warren Sports International) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-0 record. LF Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Boras Basket will play against Sundsvall Dragons (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. LF Basket will have a break next round.
