Regular Season Round 12: Lourdes - Cognac 67-85

An interesting game took place in Tarbes where higher ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (5-7) was upset on its own court by sixteenth ranked Cognac BB (4-8) 85-67. Cognac BB players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for forward Samba Dia (201-84, college: West Plains JC) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. Guard Romain Hillotte (197-91) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Cognac BB players scored in double figures. Center Raphael Giaimo (210-89, college: Seward County CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds and guard Adrien Daube (193-89) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Lourdes-Tarbes. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cognac BB moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Montbrison and Blois. Newly promoted Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. Cognac BB's next round opponent will be Montbrison (#13) at home.
