Everything went according to plan in Nanjing where fourteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-6) outleveled 17th ranked Qingdao Eagles (2-8) 133-107 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Jiangsu Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.8 percent from the field and made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Jiangsu Dragons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Qingdao Eagles were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international point guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) chipped in 38 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) produced 32 points and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) added 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Qingdao Eagles lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Bayi Rockets (#10) in Ningbo in the next round. Qingdao Eagles will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#9) and hope to win that game.
