Regular Season Round 9: PGE Turow - Slask Wroclaw 69-70

Important game to mention about took place in Zgorzelec. Seventh ranked Slask Wroclaw (5-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-best PGE Turow (6-2) 70-69 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of PGE Turow. PGE Turow was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. American point guard Danny Gibson (177-84, college: S.Indiana) nailed 16 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international Radoslaw Hyzy (204-77) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds. Slask Wroclaw's coach Tomasz Jankowski allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and international Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton County CC, agency: Promotex) added 14 points respectively for PGE Turow in the defeat. Slask Wroclaw moved-up to sixth place. PGE Turow at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Trefl Sopot. Slask Wroclaw will play against higher ranked Trefl Sopot (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PGE Turow will play against Asseco in Gdynia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
