We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Aanekoski where 4th placed Aanekosken (4-5) was defeated by fifth ranked HoNsU (5-5) 59-55 on Wednesday. Aanekosken was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 14-9 charge of HoNsU, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Aanekosken outrebounded HoNsU 51-32 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Nikki Speed (173-90, college: Rutgers) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Minna Sten (190-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Jordan Madden (183-90, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) added 14 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. HoNsU moved-up to fourth place. Loser Aanekosken dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
