Regular Season Round 11: WKK Wroclaw - Start Lublin 69-70

The most exciting game of round 11 in the 1Liga took place in Wroclaw. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked WKK Wroclaw (6-5) to eighth ranked Start Lublin (6-5) 70-69 in the game for the fifth place. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 16-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 28 personal fouls committed by WKK Wroclaw helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) helped adding 20 points. Forward Lukasz Diduszko (197-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) scored 18 points. Four WKK Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Start Lublin moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Wilki Morskie and WKK Wroclaw. Start Lublin is looking forward to face Astoria Bydg. (#11) in Bydgoszcz in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. WKK Wroclaw will play at home against MKS DG (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
