Regular Season Round 19: Shimane SM - Oita H.Devils 80-79

The game between third ranked Oita Heat Devils (10-7) and tenth ranked Shimane Magic (4-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Oita Heat Devils were edged by Shimane Magic in a tough game in Shimane 79-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oita Heat Devils. Forward Adrian Thomas (200-87, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Jeral Davis (216-84) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and guard Verdell Jones III (195-89, college: Indiana) added 20 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Shimane Magic moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bambitious Nara. Oita Heat Devils at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Hamamatsu P.. Shimane Magic is again looking forward to face higher ranked Oita Heat Devils (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oita Heat Devils will have a break next round.
