Regular Season Round 19: Yokohama BC - Takamatsu FA 75-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Yokohama BC (7-10) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Takamatsu FA (6-9) 83-75 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-75. Takamatsu FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Sean Smith (200-85, college: N.Illinois) fired 24 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield, agency: Norton Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kenji Yamada (180-83) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Takamatsu FA maintains eighth place with 6-9 record. Yokohama BC lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round.
